Sadly, for those who bought The Witcher 2 on Valve's Steam service, CD Projekt Red announced that the update hasn't gone live just yet, limiting itself to saying that it will be released "at a later time. You can either choose to upgrade from version 1.2 to 1.3 or right from the original game to the 1.3 version. The Witcher 2 patch 1.3 can be downloaded right now from Softpedia, and you can also enjoy the full changelog to see what has been fixed or modified by the developers at CD Projekt Red. Next to the long list of changes, this update also brings along free DLC - a quest called “A Sackful of Fluff”." While there is to download the new patch 1.31.and this patch is exclusive to download for goty edition.
The update includes a plethora of fan-requested improvements, including difficulty adjustments for the game’s Prologue, support for a variety of aspect ratios and a host of other gameplay tweaks and fixes. An open world game as vast as The Witcher 3 always has something to fix, and today a new hotfix has been made available for the Steam and GOG releases. "We apologize it took so long, but we had to make sure that all of the issues were addressed accordingly. "The long-awaited patch 1.3 is finally here," CD Projekt Red revealed on The Witcher 2 community page. What's more, the studio also added in a brand new downloadable quest, entitled A Sackful of Fluff, which can be experienced for free.
Now, The Witcher 2 has received a new update, taking it to version 1.3, and solving a variety of annoyances, bugs, issues or glitches reported by players up until now. It wasn't perfect, however, as its developer, Polish studio CD Projekt Red quickly released a few patches for the game, 1.1 and 1.2, respectively, in order to resolve some of the biggest problems. The Witcher 2 gained critical acclaim earlier this year with its deep role-playing mechanics, sharp graphics and intense combat. The Witcher 2 has just received patch 1.3, which is now available for download for almost all owners of the game, except those who bought it on Steam.
